I have officially found the world's greatest boredom buster!
www.jabberwacky.com- Go here and have a chat with an amazingly random virtual system! The yellow is me, and the yellow-orange is the computer.
Here is one. The first question was "How high is mount everest?"
| As high as you want it to be, I guess. | |
| Guess. | |
| Hmm... A MILLION DOLLARS! | |
| You imply that money defines a man's worth? | |
| No. It just defines the height of a mountain. | |
| You're going to have a mountain pizza? | |
| Yep! With rock and moss topping! | |
|
| That was a very profound statement! I am impressed! | |
|
| I can! *pulls out thesaurus*. | |
|
| Oooh... Is it a red button that should never be pressed? | |
| I thought we smurfed it already. | |
| Oh smurfy smurf smurf! | |
|
| I know you are, but what am I? | |
| *sigh* That is so old, it's not even funny. | |
| YOU'RE so old, you're not even funny. | |
|
| I'm sorry... Don't run into a corner and start slashing your wrists! Please! I'll lose all respect for you! | |
|
| Thank goodness. I was getting worried for a moment. | |
|
| The way I want to be treated. | |
|
| I be seventeen. | |
|
| Don't say that until I know your age! | |
| I would personally not like to taste you. | |
| I taste like a pork chop. | |
|
And so on and so forth...
What is (or would be) your DJ name?
That's an easy one! Double L. I'm not telling why, though...
Yeah, I really want summer.
Only two more days of my junior year...
I wanna eat and sleep and stuff...
Okay... yeah.
My brain is dying
Well, I saw the yearbook, and the debate page is pre-tty sweet. I mean, It's just my buddeh and I being all awesome, and It mentions that I'm the one that's in charge!
Very nice.
For earth day, my church decided to have a pot luck dinner and then watch "An Inconvenient Truth" with a discussion following afterwards. My dad has seen the movie twice and has been trying to get me to see it. And let me say, that movie brought along some odd feelings.
Actually, when my parents asked me what I thought, this was how I answered them. "I hated it. I basically heard the message of 'We're Screwed, there's nothing we can do to stop it, we're screwed...' and then, 'Oh wait, I almost forgot, there is something you can do to help.' That sounded very wrong to my moral fibers.
They tried to explain to me that that was the idea, but something about the movie just, as I described it, "didn't ring true in my deepest psyche." There were moments where I was agreeing, moments where I wanted to scream, and others where I was in tears. I didn't know what was wrong with me.
Other than that, it was a very well-done shockumentary. I can't say I liked it much though.
We're supposed to be researching colleges now. I don't wanna, so I'm blogging instead!
At play rehaersal yesterday, I ended up looking after the assistant director's five year old, so we went for a tour of the school together! We went through every science class and he even got a miniature physics lesson from one of the teachers. It was so adorable! When his dad came to take him home, he didn't want to leave! It was so cute!
And now... WATCH THE DONKEY DANCE!
What were you afraid of as a child that seems silly to you now?
Submitted by navelgazer.
When I was little, I was scared to death of vaccuum cleaners. Mostly because I heard the sound of one choking on its coard and it was so loud it freaked me out and I was afraid of them for YEARS! I got over this fear in seventh grade when my mom forced me to vaccuum the living room.
hehe
Well, I just saw the BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!!
Yeah, it was Enter the Haggis, a celtic rock band from Toronto that came and performed locally, so I had to see them, being the haggishead I am.
THEY WERE FRICKING AMAZING!
They did a lot of stuff from their new album Soapbox Heroes and also a lot of their other stuff. Hearing them play "Donald Where's Your Troosers" made my brother very happy. It made me happy to hear them play "Arcticus" and "Minstrel Boy", my personal favorites. The only thing that could've made it better was to hear them play "Maker".
The group that opened for them was pretty sweet too. They were called Patrick's Head and they played for about a half an hour. They had some tight harmonies, but their instrumentals were slightly off key.
Now I'm wearing my Haggishead tee shirt and listening to "Casualties of Retail" and I'm very very happy! Let's end with a sample of this fricking amazing group!
...my grandmother's yard.
When I finish, though, I'll be getting a graphics tablet!
I am VERY dissappointed with the school debate team.
The home debate was yesterday and the yearbook came to take a picture of the team. My best friend and I were the only ones there. Yeah, the team picture was two people. I'm quite pissed and will have to gather them together on wednesday to yell at all of them.
Well, on a more positive note, The speech partnership did very well yesterday. Here were the scores:
ME:
R1: third
R2: first
R3: second
MY FRIEND: (I did not know her rounds but I do know this:
second
second
first
Pre-tty good for a first/second debate.
AND NOW A MOVIE!
